well I’ve been in the proxy industry for some time now and as usual AdSense always fluctuates. I emailed Google a while back and asked them why my earnings have decreased and if i was smart priced. They responded with
“you haven’t been smart priced and the system is automated. It does the calculations on its own”
So my guess on why the earnings are decreasing is that since Google is changing the way the ads are being displayed , its really getting rid of a lot of accidental clicks with its new system. Hopefully this changes with time but one can only hope.

a big issue with a lot of proxies is that they end up getting blocked. This is a good way to keep the traffic you’ve generated while it wasn’t blocked. Lets say you worked really hard to generate traffic to your yourproxydomain.com.
Now your really pleased with the traffic and income its generating but you don’t want to lose it. a technique a lot of proxy owners dont use is the subdomain option. Heres what you can do if you choose to.
Create 5 sub domains on your account with different names, for example:
proxy.yourproxydomain.com
filter.yourproxydomain.com
bypass.yourproxydomain.com
web.yourproxydomain.com
sneak.yourproxydomain.com
Link these sites with the primary and vice versa. This way your traffic rolls over to these domains and you keep the traffic you generated for the primary site. plus it basically gives you 5 more proxy sites you can advertise with out having to spend on a new domain. this has its pros and cons ofcourse if you plan to sell it you will only have one domain and will need to show the new buyer what you did.
try to channel all of them differently so you can track what site is doing better. but you don’t have to since it is one site. this will help you stay one step ahead of the blocked issue.
another thing you can do is buy a .info for (.99 - 1.99) and park it on the account. start your promotion all over again while you keep the traffic that isn’t blocked.

Surrogafier, a proxy script written from php has been one of the best scripts for proxies so far. It only contains 1 simple php file to be uploaded to your server, you can use the script to login to major sites and forums etc… without having the problem like phproxy ( must added to whitelist ). The script uses minimal memory/cpu usage.
Brad cable the developer of Surrogafier tried his best to optimized the script so it can cut down on the cpu/ram usage. You can easily block ip addresses or ranges by editing the first few lines of the only file that you need to make your proxy accessible without having to edit htaccess ( some servers don’t support htaccess ).

there are a lot of scripts you can use to make a proxy. Zelune, CGI, Glype , Surrogafier etc. Still i like to use PHP proxy on some of my proxies. but it seems that the maker of the script has stopped claiming and supporting the script. Heres a quote from the owners site.
As of September 7th 2007, I, Abdullah Arif (eugee, ultimategamer00, uG, et cetera), completely renounce and disavow the PHProxy (poxy) project and all past and future works and derivatives based on the PHProxy script. I will no longer continue development nor support for this script. I relinquish all rights and disclaim all responsibilities associated. This decision is final. Thanks to everyone for their support.

It is uncertain as to whether he was forced to do so by Iranian authorities but what a big hit to th proxy industry. Im sure this opens the way for other script to take the lead. It was good to use the script and so many sites still use php proxy. Well time to see whats next in the proxy world.
